It has been two weeks since the world’s largest timed cycle race, The Cape Town Cycle Tour which had approximately 35 000 entrants. I am not 100% sure but I think this must be about the 27th time I have photographed the race. In the early days I used to get permission to go onto the route to take a few images but roughly for the last 10 years I have been commissioned by the Cycle Tour. Most of my brief is to photograph the logistics but I do get to shoot some spectacular scenes on route. I have attached some of the aerial perspectives from this years shortened route. For more information about The Cape Town Cycle Tour visit their web site http://www.cycletour.co.za or facebook https://www.facebook.com/cycletour.
