Its that time of year again well almost, flower season. As a family we routinely would go away for the June/July school holidays to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and on route back to Cape Town we would see the the first hint of the spring flowers on the West Coast road and always assumed that was what the flowers were all about. We often spoke about going back late in August or early in September but it took a few years before we made that trip and we where in for a huge surprise. There had been very good rain in the Kamieskroon area that winter but we still only expected to see patches of flowers here and there. We were absolutely blown away. Most of these images were taken in the Kamieskroon area and the Namaqua National Park . Enjoy the portfolio of images and please leave a comment at the bottom of the page.
